Amplifying the voices shaping DEI and the future of energy.
POWERful Women is working towards a gender-balanced, diverse and inclusive energy sector. That’s something we believe in passionately at EM – which is why we provided pro-bono support to create the POWERful Women Leaders Coalition Seventh Annual Report.
Rather than a traditional report filled solely with data and declarations, we set out to craft a piece of thought leadership – one that brings real stories of change to life. Our aim was to celebrate progress in ways that inspire others, accelerate action, and shine a light on the people who are truly Powering Progress.
Action
To turn ideas into impact, we worked closely with members of the POWERful Women Leaders Coalition to uncover the personal experiences behind their progress.
We hosted a series of informal drop-in workshops where Coalition representatives could share stories, challenges and examples of inclusion in action. These honest conversations sparked the personal case studies that became the heart of the Powering Progress report.
We also led on the report’s visual design, creating a clean, contemporary look that reflects both the professionalism of the Coalition and the human warmth of the stories inside. The result is a publication with its own distinctive voice – one that feels credible, inclusive and alive.
To ensure the report reached as wide an audience as possible, we also developed an accompanying social media campaign. This translated the report’s themes and case studies into a series of engaging, human-led posts designed to spark conversation and celebrate the people Powering Progress.
Impact
The Report was launched at the POWERful Women Annual Conference 2025, attended by more than 500 people in person and online. Its personal storytelling approach received widespread praise from leaders across the energy sector, who welcomed the shift towards human-centred narratives and practical examples of inclusion in action.
